Hi Matt, It’s been a pleasure working with you (the electrician from Illinois) on the installation of DAE Polaris 2500. The wire connecting the breaker and VA, VB, VC of the meter is for powering the meter. The power consumption is just 0.5A and lower. Any breaker in the electrical panel will work. However, it is vital to connect from the right phase. For the request from your customer to read the meter by cell phone, PC and generate billing, you just have to add 1 DAE CC2030 KIT (for monitoring up to 20 meters). Thanks!
