There are 3 remote reading solutions from DAE Controls.
For remote reading with Pulse-output meters, you must have a NRV (Non-Return-Valve like NRVAS-75 for AS200U-75P) in the outlet or inlet of the water meter, or the reading of Counter CO-10, Cell phone/PC may be more than the reading of the water meter due to the backflow.
For remote reading with Ultrasonic meters (like U-75, U-75b) or Encoded meter (like MJ-75z), NRV is not required. And the meter reading is always the same as the reading of Cell phone/PC.
- Water meter with pulse output like DAE AS200U-75P + Electronic Pulse Counter DAE CO-10 ($38 only) or DAE CO-10 KIT, an inexpensive remote solution. The reading on the CO-10 will also depend on the water meter connected to it. For example, if you have the AS200U-75P, which has 1 gallon per pulse output, then when the CO-10 displays 13, that means 13 gallons. If you have the AS250U-100P, which has 10 gallons per pulse output, then when the CO-10 displays 13, that means 130 gallons.
- 1 DAE CC2030 KIT Gateway + 1 AMR130AN can read 1 Pulse-output meter (like DAE AS200U-75P, MJ-75, PD-75, V-75P, VM-75P and WP-300P) remotely with cell phone, PC and generate billing reports.
- 1 DAE CC2030 KIT Gateway + 1 Encoded meter like MJ-75z (or 1 Ultrasonic meter like U-75 or U-75b) is a cost-effective way to remotely read the meter with cell phone, PC and generate billing reports. NRV is not required. And the meter reading is always the same as the reading of Cell phone/PC.
1 CC2030 Gateway can monitor 20 meters (water, electricity, and gas) simultaneously. If there is abnormal water usage (ex. Broken piping), an email alert will be sent to your cell phone automatically. DAE Cloud Metering System is designed in a way that you plug in the wires as per a simple picture like the following (or video https://youtu.be/vCu8NIdj9p0 ) and ready to go. No IT guy is required.
Solution 1 Applications:
Water meter with pulse output like DAE AS200U-75P + Electronic Pulse Counter DAE CO-10 ($38 only) or DAE CO-10 KIT , an inexpensive remote solution.
If exposied to weather, please choose B1722 Plastic watertight Enclosure (1 B1722 for up to 2 CO-10 KIT) to protect CO-10KIT.
Solution 2 Applications:
1 DAE CC2030 KIT Gateway + 1 AMR130AN can read 1 Pulse-output meter (like DAE AS200U-75P, MJ-75, PD-75, V-75P, VM-75P and WP-300P) remotely with cell phone, PC and generate billing reports.
For an existing building, hard to draw a cable between AMR130AN (close to 1 water meter) and CC2030 (close to your router). Please choose 1 AMR130-RN KIT, 1 CC2030 KIT, and 1 WSC500A RF Converter to connect them wirelessly.
For remotely monitoring a water meter in an area without power like the one in the farm, please choose CC2030 KIT + 1 AMR130RB + 1 WSC500A to connect Battery-Powered AMR130RB (close to water meter) and CC2030 (close to your router) wirelessly.
For monitoring up to 16 water meters remotely with cell phone, PC and generate billing report, you will just need 1 AMR KIT + 1 CC2030 KIT.
For existing building, hard to draw cable between AMR (close to water meter) and CC2030 (close to your router), please choose 1 AMR KIT + 1 CC2030 KIT+ 2 WSC500A RF Converter to connect them wirelessly.
