If your meter can be installed horizontally with register dial facing upwards, please choose AS Series (like AS200U-75) or MJ Series (like MJ-75n).
If you can only install the meter vertically with water flowing upwards, please choose V Series (likeV-75P) or VM Series (like VM-75P) or PD Series (like PD-75).
If you can only install the meter vertically with water flowing downwards, please choose VM Series (like VM-75P) or PD Series (like PD-75).
If you install the meter in the ceiling with register dial facing downwards, please choose VM Series (like VM-75P) or PD Series (like PD-75).
If you are located in California, Vermont, Louisiana, Maryland, or Canada, please choose a meter with NSF61 certification in MJ Series (like MJ-75n) or PD Series (like PD-75) in order to pass the inspection from the City.
If you need to install your meter outdoors or in a pit, please choose a meter with an IP68 rating like PD-75y or MJ-75c or PD-75 or MJ-75z or U-75 or U-75b or WP-300i or WP-300P.
If you are monitoring water from a well or creek or irrigation or wastewater, please choose U Series like U-75 or WP-i Series like WP-200i.
There are 3 remote reading solutions from DAE Controls.
For remote reading with Pulse-output meters, you must have a NRV (Non-Return-Valve like NRVAS-75 for AS200U-75P) in the outlet or inlet of the water meter, or the reading of Counter CO-10, Cell phone/PC may be more than the reading of the water meter due to the backflow.
For remote reading with Ultrasonic meters (like U-75, U-75b) or Encoded meter (like MJ-75z), NRV is not required. And the meter reading is always the same as the reading of Cell phone/PC.
- Water meter with pulse output like DAE AS200U-75P + Electronic Pulse Counter DAE CO-10 ($38 only) or DAE CO-10 KIT , an inexpensive remote solution.
- 1 DAE CC2030 KIT Gateway + 1 AMR130AN can read 1 Pulse-output meter (like DAE AS200U-75P, MJ-75, PD-75, V-75P, VM-75P and WP-300P) remotely with cell phone, PC and generate billing reports.
- 1 DAE CC2030 KIT Gateway + 1 Encoded meter like MJ-75z (or 1 Ultrasonic meter like U-75 or U-75b) is a cost-effective way to remotely read the meter with cell phone, PC and generate billing reports. NRV is not required. And the meter reading is always the same as the reading of Cell phone/PC.
1 CC2030 Gateway can monitor 20 meters (water, electricity, and gas) simultaneously. If there is abnormal water usage (ex. Broken piping), an email alert will be sent to your cell phone automatically.
